On good days (translate that perfect photographic weather) Ken is a wildlife and nature photographer. He spends many hours trekking through mud and water to find the perfect image of nature at its best. It is not unusual to find him lying on his stomach in the mud to be eye-level with wading birds and alligators.

His goal as a photographer is to provide every possible nuance of character and personality contained in an animal, wild or domestic. His love of wildlife, as well as photography, shows in every photograph. He loves to watch the birds stretch and preen, attempting to capture that split second that defines each individual. However long it takes, he has the patience and determination to bring out the best in every animal he photographs. Ken is also an outstanding cat portraiture photographer. Ken believes he can bring out the cats personality like no other by using techniques he has gained from wildlife photography. He spends just as much effort to capture the perfect image of a cat as he does in his wildlife photography.

With undergraduate and graduate degrees in mathematics, data processing, electronics, and physical science, Ken is able to combine the best of his abilities and his photographic skills in multimedia presentations and slideshows. The same attention to detail that he puts into designing programs for GIS and LandSat applications can be seen in his images.

Ken’s motto is “the best things come to those who wait” and firmly believes the more time you spend with the subject the better the images will be.
